I have not been able to reproduce this issue with any of the MIDI devices that I have available to test with. By default, Stagelight does not receive any MIDI CC data that will trigger the record feature, also Stagelight only sends tempo and start/ stop data to connected MIDI devices.

From the information that you have given me, this sounds like an issue with the controller itself. To make sure that Stagelight is not sending any data to your device, go to menu > settings > MIDI output and make sure that the M audio device is not selected.

If the the issue continues after making this change, this is a hardware based issue and you will need to contact M Audio support.

This is the same message that I posted in your support ticket. Please reply to the ticket.

i honestly was setting it up the wrong way thanks but i  have a question though ? when you load a vst with a sound and you go to the bottom left of the u.i and hit the little arrow and you get to see additional settings there's a pink bar under the sound that you've selected on that bar there's two lines on either side ,when i have my other midi controller hooked up with is an akai mpd 18 i see the signal side to the left lights up but i get no volume on the right how do i get both sides to light up ?

Question. Is stagelight receiving a dev break and a facelift or is it dying? No words from devs or community in a while there. Just thought I'd break the silence here since its pretty darn silent.

Hey Stephane! Hope your summer is great.

You are on to something here... It has been quiet. No dev updates, little social shares. BUT. We are all still here. Still working harder than ever.

That is all I can say at this moment. Please be patient, we think it will be worth it.

Stay tuned 🙂

Not sure if this is the place to put this, but here goes...

I just got an Akai Pro MPK MKII Midi keyboard. It appears that, in Stagelight, I can either use its keyboard for an instrument, or use its drum pads for an instrument / drum machine, but not both at once. And the knobs appear to be useless in Stagelight as well because I can't Midi learn to anything below the start/stop bar.

Is there any way to use the MPK MKII to its fullest in Stagelight?
